1803: The United States purchases Louisiana from France.
1891: The municipality of Venâncio Ayres (now Venâncio Aires) is established in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
1894: Roma San Pietro station opens in Rome.
1950: Northwestern Arizona is moved from the Pacific Time Zone to the Mountain Time Zone at 2 o’clock in the morning, putting the entire state in the same time zone for the first time.
1975: In the Vietnam War, the Republic of South Vietnam is proclaimed as South Vietnam and its capital, Saigon, fall to Communist forces.
2015: Joshin Super DenDen Land opens in Osaka.
