Key:traffic signals:countdown

The key traffic_signals:countdown=* is used to indicate a traffic light, highway=traffic_signals has a way to display how long it should take before the light goes green, i.e. it counts down red.

In some countries, the countdown is often not in seconds as traffic light installations are dynamic so if more or less other traffic comes, the time to wait can increase or decrease.

Count down timers can help to have the cyclist or a pedestrian start the crossing earlier and it acts as feedback so you know the traffic light did detect you.
