Call for Proposals - Closed March 26
We call on all members of the OpenStreetMap community to share your ideas and session proposals for the 10th Anniversary State of the Map US. Whether you are brand new to OSM or have been a core contributor since the beginning, we wanted to hear from you, even if you had never proposed a topic for a conference before! Every year, about half of the sessions at State of the Map US are by first-timers. The typical attendee at State of the Map is passionate about maps and interested in your story!
We invited proposals about anything OpenStreetMap, including but not limited to:
- OpenStreetMap basics and how to’s
- Mapping all the things (rails! trees! shops! trails! boundaries! imports!)
- Indigenous mapping
- OSM at your school, in education
- Demo that cool tool you built for OSM
- OpenStreetMap and government
- User experiences - how have you been using OSM data?
- Community experiences, such as stories from you local OSM group
- The state of the map in [YOUR STATE]
- Corporate & institutional contributions to OpenStreetMap
- OSM in the field
If your proposal didn't fit neatly in there, it was not a problem.
The program will include space for keynote speakers, panels, 15 min talks, 5 min lightning talks, 1+ hour workshops, birds of a feather sessions, and there will even be room for improvisational sessions, outdoor activities, and whatever idea you might have.
