A cyclist warning indicates an area where cyclists present a hazard to motorized, non-motorized or pedestrian traffic. This should be used for areas in which have signed warnings that cyclists may be in the roadway, or that motorists should share the road with bicycles.
How to map
Cyclist hazards may be mapped in the following ways:
- Place a node at the location of the cyclist hazard traffic sign, tagged traffic_sign=hazard + hazard=cyclists.
- Tag a node along a highway=* way at the location of the sign
- Tag the section
of highway=* where the cyclist hazard is present.
