About me

Started contributing to OpenStreetMap in January 2011 at the age of 28 years. Almost exclusively mapping in areas I have visited, near home or during travel. Usually learning the basics of a foreign language before visiting a country, this also helps when adding POI names.

Using Garmin Dakota 20 mostly for recording the track nowadays because writing information in it is not very convenient. I have switched to using the Smartphone for that when I bought one and sometimes still use paper. Wet weather during trekking is probably one of the few exceptions.
